The place? New Haven.  And also Bridgeport.

Who? Law enforcement officials.

What? Drugs and guns.

Law enforcement officials say a four month initiative to stem violent crime resulted in the seizure of 73 illegal guns and the expected prosecution of 154 people for not only firearms but also drugs, and robbery charges.

They say the result of what is now called Operation Samson was more than one kilo of crack cocaine, about 750 grams of powdered cocaine, more than seven kilograms of marijuana and about 500 prescription drug pills.

The US Attorney’s office says investigators also uncovered two firearms that brought in about 130 guns into Connecticut.

One of the guns has been linked to a previous unsolved homicide and 5 additional shootings.
